EJF CAMPAIGNS TO:
1. Promote more environmentally sustainable and socially equitable shrimp production.
2. Raise consumer awareness of the negative social and environmental effects of unregulated shrimp fisheries and aquaculture and to encourage responsible and sustainable seafood consumption.
3. Foster commitment and co-operation from industry stakeholders nationally and internationally to ensure transparency and traceability through the entire shrimp supply chain.
4. Empower grassroots organizations in the developing world, providing film and advocacy training that enables them to document the issues and oppose unsustainable industrial shrimp farming that threatens local communities and the natural environment.
