Bayer confirms phase-out for endosulfan

EJF has received confirmation that the German agrochemical company, Bayer, has ceased production of endosulfan and will cease sales in Australia by the end of 2010

Pesticides are toxic by design. Every year, pesticides are estimated to cause tens of millions of cases of accidental poisoning. Developing countries are used as a dumping ground for hazardous chemicals that are banned throughout much of the rest of the world because of the serious threats they pose to human health and the natural environment.
